Google’s Nexus 7 Forces Apple to come up with a Lower Version of the iPad

If the rumors are to be believed, Apple is about to unleash a newer, smaller, and cheaper version of - what the whole world recognizes as the iPad.  Reason for this unexpected act of the company is quite simple; the ace conglomerate wants to retain its Numero Uno spot in the tablet market.

Two high profile guys, who want their names to be kept secret, told the selected media sources that the tablet will be coming in 7-8 inch avatar and will be hitting the retail market across the world towards the year end. Readers know it quite well that the original version of the iPad comes in 9.7 inch size. And it is not beyond imagination that the new tab will not be sporting the HD screen that the previous version of the iPad had.

If we visualize the rumor in the light of Google’s announcement of Nexus 7 tab then it becomes clearer why Apple is going to plant its foot in the low end tablet market.

It is also expected that the newer iPad will be sporting a price tag akin to the recently announced Nexus 7 and the Amazon Kindle Fire, it could be around $200.

Apple, since its release in the year 2010, has been the undisputed king of the tablet world; and now when the market is worth 60 Billion Dollars, it wants it’s reign to continue. Those who have an eye for the stats know quite well that the Apple Corp hold more than 60% of the tablet market.
Let us wait for the newer iPad to arrive with our fingers crossed. Bewitching, enchanting, engrossing.
